Dialogue with Redpill [1]
Hi Tim,The postcard from the Geffrye Museum evoked so many memories, may be due to its nostalgic colour and that 70s boring postcard look. In response I took an opportunity to experiment with watercolour and submitting the above, German Hospital.
One of the memories was the time I helped on a NFTS film "Welcome to the Terrordome" at the German Hospital in Hackney. The hospital was set in large grounds, and closed a while ago, it had a strong sense of the past, with some very old and perculiar medial instruments left behind.
The hospital and its grounds conjured up many images, one of which had a feeling of the First World War. There was also a large red cross painted on a side of an unrelated building which was on route to the hospital, which I always associate with the hospital.
